Swansea library is surviving well, a really excellent library with equally excellent staff. Needs proper funding to keep modern check in/check out equipment well maintained.
Very friendly staff that helped me sign up to use wifi even though I don't live in the UK.I came here two afternoons in a row to study. The upstairs is the place to go. Lots of tables available with some even by the window with a view of the beach. The window tables have plug ins for laptops. Best thing is that coffee (from the downstairs cafe) is allowed into the library for study assistance!!!

Slowest wi-fi on the planet. Useless for academic writing, literature review, emailing clients - you name it, it's too slow. Will not download email to a local mail (Outlook) client either. It seems the idea is to 'stop people streaming video', i.e. actually using the internet. It doesn't do that of course, I've just downloaded an episode of Humans. What it does do is stop the library being useful for any serious purpose, and of course, it keeps the kids out.UPDATEIt's two years since I posted this review. About a year after posting it my account stopped working. No one at the desk could get it working again, although to be fair, they tried pretty hard.
