My son and a group of his University friends have arranged, through Charles Perrett Properties, a house for their 2nd year. Being brought into the equation at the 11th hour, I found Siobhan Jones extremely helpful and understanding and I was quickly satisfied that everything was in order, including the paperwork, which was all successfully signed. I trust the group will also be well looked after during the tenancy period. Thank-you in anticipation!
Really nice staff who are easy to get on with. Nice and simple process to move in aswell. Couldn't fault them and I'd recommend them.
Sad to say just how disappointed I actually am in the service at Charles Perrett, have had problems with the property for 2 months nobody has done anything about it. Two months and they haven' been able to cut an extra key, the plumber has just not showed up on 3 different occasions (to fix problems leaving one bathroom Un-usable) and no reason was given.If you email them do not expect them to see it or even acknowledge it, always call. They didn't even do an inspection on the property before we moved in.
We had mice for around half of the rent period. We contacted them and they were slow to send pest control, they sent their own guys who did basically nothing, since we had to hide all of our food on the top shelves to get rid of the mice. After the pest control they charged us claiming we were the reason for the mice. We were charged 117 pounds. The standard fee for city issued pest control is 60 ponds for student houses.Even if we take every one of their words as true, which I wold not recommend, the situation looks like they scammed three poor students. This, personally, threw my finances off for a month and a half believe it or not 43 pounds was a lot for me at the time.In general we had tons of issues with them but if you want details contact me personally since I do not wish to have any interactions with them anymore.I cannot stress enough how you shold not use their service.
Rude staff who will try and rip you off at every moment they have the opportunity too. Sent many emails for the company to sort out problems within the house we rented from them, took many attempts and a long time to get anything done. When having issues or disagreements with the company their staff replied in an unprofessional way, which came across as childish. Potential communications training needed for staff? Very expensive with fee's when it comes to signing for a house; so when signing for a first house be careful! Would not use again, and tell other students to be wary when letting from this company.
